The General Process, from Ordering to finished Artwork
After ordering your commission, your slot will be officially reserved on my workload queue.
I'll then contact you at your chosen email, give you a quote for the piece, and send out an invoice to the pay pal email.
Once the invoice has been paid, I'll begin work on your artwork! :3
The next step is the Sketch WIP, which I'll send via email once it's ready.
After this, I'll continue on to completion on the piece.
You can check my Trello while you wait for your order to be complete for updates.
Completion takes on average between 3 and 6 weeks, but in rare instances up to 12 weeks.
Once your artwork is finished, I will email the artwork to you at the contact email you provided ♥
During the process, Wade the Secretary can also help out on some things, such as: answer questions, send out details on your behalf that you forgot to add to the original order form, or tell me about an edit you need.
⭐CAN & CAN'T DRAW LIST⭐
⭐ GENERAL ⭐
PREFACE:
This "Art Commission Agreement" Terms of Service , hereby effective on the present date and time that the commission order is placed, is hereby entered into by the following parties:
The Artist (Herein referred to as "Lovespell", "I", or "me")
and the Client (Herein referred to as "the commissioner", "the user", or "the customer", or "you").
These terms of service apply to the parties, whether or not they have read them or have knowledge of them.
Now and Therefore, the parties agree to the following terms:
⚬ I reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason. Namely customers who are treating me disrespectfully, being overly pushy/impatient, or repeatedly breaking my rules! Please show me the same respect I show to you. Thank you!
In the event this occurs and I'm already working on a piece from said customer, I will immediately refund for the unfinished portion, then permanently block said customer.
⚬ All Artwork is Drawn in My Own Style
Please do not ask me to recreate the style of another artist. Thank you!
⚬ Commissions are digital in nature, and the hi-resolution (3840 px on the long side) and standard resolution (smaller, posting size) files of the artwork will be sent to you via email upon completion.
⚬ Please use my Order Page for the commission details, so that all of the information for your picture is streamlined and accessible.
⚬ No Underage Customers
I do not work with any customer that is under the age of 18 years old. By ordering an artpiece from me, you hereby agree that you are at least 18 years old. Anyone found lying about this will be immediately blacklisted.
⚬ No Deadlines Allowed
Apologies for any inconvenience
⚬ No Refunds Allowed
No exceptions.
⚬ Please Practice Patience
In order for me to provide you with the best work possible, I ask that you please practice patience while waiting for your art.
My average turnaround time tends to be within 45 days. However, in extraordinary circumstances it may take up to 12 weeks to finish an artpiece.
⚬ Trello Is Available For Updates
While you wait, you are welcome to check my Trello at any time for updates. Asking specifically for updates will result in a referrance to the board anyway.
⚬ Wade the Secretary Can Usually Help
For many things, like an edit or sending in a crutial detail you missed on your order form, feel free to ask about it to Wade about it!
He can also help with general questions you may have.
⚬ 1 Sketch Wip Is Given Automatically
If no response is given to the Sketch WIP within 1 week, I will proceed and move on, assuming it is liked the way it is.
Please note, facial expressions are usually not part of the sketch, as that's part of the piece I spend a long time on during the lineart phase.
This is the only WIP given throughout the process, in order to keep things streamline as possible. And again, if there was a problem you wanted corrected among the later steps, you are welcome to ask for a change to the finished piece anyhow (within reason of course).
⚬ Please keep as many order details within the original Order Form you sent for your commission if at all possible.
You may tell Wade details you forgot to add, but please be reasonable and don't do so more than three times per order.
Overdoing it makes work very difficult for me, and is making it more and more likely that I'll miss details when I come to draw your piece, so please refrain from doing this - thanks for your understanding.
⚬ Please Keep Commission Information Through Appropriate Sources Only (The Order Page, Email, Wade, or the Platform's Note system from where you saw that my Commissions were Open on)
I cannot discuss details about your commission on "off-topic" places- that includes discord, telegram, any form of instant messaging, or elsewhere. Such places are "clocked-out" spots for me and I won't tolerate being poked about my job while I'm not in working hours.
⚬ Regarding Alternate Versions
I offer alternative versions [alts] for commissions. The maximum allowed per piece is 6 in total.
(Things like changing characters, changing pose, or changing background are not available as alternate versions)
The complexity tier of the alt is based on what exactly is being requested, so the price will reflect that in your quote and invoice.
⚬ Simple vs Scene Backgrounds
Simple backgrounds constitute of a single color, a gradient, or a simple pattern such as polkadots.
Scene Backgrounds include anything beyond that- normally this includes a scene of some kind (such as a beach, bedroom, etc.) but also includes the presence of 'background elements', such as detailed spells or special effects on the character in the foreground.
The Scene Background is charged at a reasonable flat rate, and as such, is drawn at my discretion of what would achieve the look of such a scene. It will vary from piece to piece, as I see fit- from a plethora of details, to as minimal to express the scene as necessary- as the best look varies based on the overall composition, how much of the background can be seen itself, the complexity of the character being drawn, as well as various other factors.
⚬ I Am Happy to Make Changes (Within Reason!)
Changes are allowed, even when the piece is done. I am happy to work with you!
HOWEVER, I am unable to do any change that would require a re-do of 30% of the finished piece or greater, or up to a maximum of that equivalency in individual separate small changes, at which point all edits must cease. Please note, when that point is reached is solely at my discretion to decide.
⚬ The maximum allowed number of characters per piece is 6, and the maximum allowed number of views on a reference sheet is 4 in total.
⚬ The maximum allowed commission slots to be claimed by a single user per month is 2.
⚬ You are Not authorized to use my art in AI Art Generators.
Even if you commission a piece from me, you are not authorized to use it in AI art programs to generate with in any way.
⚬ I will not remove my signature from the artwork.
So please DO NOT ask me to do so.
⭐ PAYMENT ⭐
⚬ Upfront Payment Is Required
Your order will not be started on until it is paid for.
⚬ Please Pay for your Piece Within 2 Weeks Of Placing Your Order.
If there's an extraordinary circumstance that requires extra time, please tell me about it within the week, so I know to keep your slot active.
⚬ Payment through Pay Pal
⚬ No Haggling with the Quoted Price
I will NOT negotiate my prices with anybody, no exceptions.
⭐ POSTING ARTWORK AND PRIVATE COMMISSIONS ⭐
⚬ If You'd Like The Piece to Remain Private, Be Sure to Select The Option on the Order Form.
If you tell me too late after I upload it to my galleries, it may manage to get on third party site where there is not much I can do to remove it. So please be sure to try and tell me while ordering it,and not later on, if this would bother you.
⚬ I Will Draw For You, But I Won't Necessarily Upload The Piece. You are free to upload it, so long as I am given credit!
Please understand that I do not upload all commissions that have been ordered from me - and please do not insist that I upload yours. The commissioner will always have my permission to upload their commissioned art to their own gallery ( as long as credit is given to me, as the artist ). I reserve the right to upload and remove commissioned work to my gallery, on and offsite, unless I have been specifically notified that the work should remain private.
⭐ COMMERCIAL USE AND MISCELLANIOUS ⭐
⚬ Commercial Use Licensing
Artwork commissioned by me, by default, has only a personal use license.
Commissions (and my artwork in general as well) are strictly prohibited from NFT use.
If you'd like to have a commercial use license for the piece, please contact me ( order [at] lovespell [dot] me ) and I will arrange for a commercial license of the piece for you. A commercial license for each image will be at an additional fee of $120 USD/per image.
Again, this does not apply for NFTs. Commercial licenses will not be granted nor sold for NFT creation purposes.
⚬ Make Sure you have Permission To Use The Character (if it's anything other than fanart)
When purchasing a piece from me that is anything other than fanart, you agree that you have the authority or permission to use the characters requested to be included in the piece, and I am under no liability for your actions if that is not the case. I am free of any liability to be held against your account in such an instance that action is taken against you for such use.
⚬ Terms are subject to change at my discretion without notice from time to time.
⚬ These terms apply to your order whether you have read them or not (so it'd be better if you did!)
